– WP:PRIMARYTOPIC, even before his election to parliament the diplomat has had more pageviews than the professor for the last decade. (pageview graph link). Support per nomination and Crouch, Swale, although judging by subject's listing under Category:20th-century Scottish botanists and Category:Scottish gardeners, subject was best known as a botanist and gardener, rather than as a biologist. I would thus support Alan Gemmell → Alan Gemmell (botanist), which is a common parenthetical qualifier, while the qualifier "(biology professor)" appears to be a rarity. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 22:47, 10 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
