I'll go through this shortly. Pickersgill-Cunliffe (talk) 15:41, 12 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Prelim

[edit]
  • No duplicated links
  • Article is stable
  • Images correctly licensed
  • Earwig reports copyvio unlikely

Lede and infobox

[edit]
  • I may have missed it, but I don't think you usually have a comma after the name?
  • To avoid confusion I would suggest "following the German invasion of the Low Countries" > "during the Battle of France" and then remove the second BoF mention
  • "during July and August" could do with a year somewhere about here

Early life

[edit]
  • Do we know when Eckford passed out of training? Article doesn't make it too clear how close this was to the start of the SWW, which I feel would be useful to know if possible

Second World War

[edit]
  • The Battle of France isn't mentioned in main text
  • Have referred to the fighting there
  • Do we know why the squadron went to France so rapidly but then left it again seemingly equally as suddenly?
  • The RAF component there was withdrawn once it became apparent fighters were going to be needed for the Battle of Britain although there was still pressure to send them to France. I have added mention of this and rephrased the following bit about No. 242 Squadron. Zawed (talk) 09:00, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
  • What aircraft did 242 Sqn fly?
  • "one at night over London" does this mean regular night patrols over London or only one such patrol?
  • "the Distinguished Flying Cross"
  • Note sure if you ascribe to this, but you could add a  (WIA) to the infobox for the Africa campaign
  • "Once the North African campaign concluded" a date here?
  • Do we know what he was doing at the Air Ministry?
  • Ashcroft's name would correctly be styled "Michael, Lord Ashcroft" or just "Lord Ashcroft"
