@Willsome429: I did a copyedit of the article changing grammar and some tone. Are these changes acceptable to take the article back to mainspace? I tried to keep European phrasing/terminology since this is a French topic. Royalbroil13:09, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Prose looks loads better, that’s for sure. There’s still a little bit of a lack of independent sources, as it seems like all but two are from series Alain has races in or teams Alain has raced for. Don’t have a ton of time at the moment but I can look for a couple more RS soon so hopefully we can get this back in mainspace. Willsome429 (say hey or see my edits!) 13:54, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Royalbroil: Follow-up after a final, final check - it looks to be much the same as the French-language page, which is ironically written by the same SPA. Photos from across different continents all licensed as 4.0 leave me wary that the original version was undisclosed paid editing. As is, I think it's been revised enough to go. I don't have a ton of experience spotting/dealing with UPE, but it just seems very, very suspicious. Willsome429 (say hey or see my edits!) 15:44, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
The English and French articles were started by the same author who I assume in good faith is bilingual in English and French. Looking at how spread out are the photographs (and clearly posing for the photographer), it's likely either UPE or conflict of interest (perhaps a family member). I did a Reverse Google Search on all images and found no uses outside of Wikipedia (and mirrors). Royalbroil00:12, 28 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
