I have become more and more sceptical to using these religious sites, they are sometimes ok, sometimes absolutely horrible. But the thing is: we have many modern scholars who discuss these questions, like Pringle, and Ellenblum. Mostly they show how when places became unreachable for Christian pilgrims, then "miraculously" another town/village (which was within reach of the pilgrims) took its place as any Biblical place. Basically, it was a practical matter. I think we should keep to the academic scholars when we write about this. Huldra (talk) 23:23, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
