User:Rktect (believed aka Steve Whittet) seems to have an obsession with an Egyptian god whom he always refers to as 3kr. I believe that 3kr is a perverted transliteration which is more usually rendered as Aker. In which case, I am surprised that Rktect has not contributed to this article.
If any of the watchers of this page have not encountered Rktect, you may care to amuse yourselves by following these links:

- 3kr is the transliteration. Believe it or not, due to lack of a better symbol, when transliterating egyptian on computers, the number 3 is frequently used to represent the glottal stop. However, transliterations are not good for articles' names, so you are right that this should be Aker. Thanatosimii 19:33, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Etymology
[edit]I'm trying to see if there is a link between the Egyptian Aker and the Aker mentioned in the Greek Apocalypse of Ezra. Could anyone shed some light on this for me? Thanks! -Knowl -<(I am questing for Knowledge!) (talk) 15:57, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- In the Greek Apocalypse of Ezra Aker is one of the nine angels that govern or rule in the sense of a ruler that measures, weighs, and judges what is right and proper according to an established standard. " Knowest thou, Esdras, the names of the angels at the end of the world? Michael, Gabriel, Uriel, Raphael, Gabuthelon, Aker, Arphugitonos, Beburos, Zebuleon."
- The concept of nine standards of measure is interesting. As regards Aker "the soul—goes to heaven; and that which is from the earth—that is to say, the body—goes to the earth, from which it was taken"..."the Maker of the whole creation, who hast measured the heaven with a span, and who holdest the earth as a handful" Esdras makes measures of properties a relation between heaven and earth.
- The Egyptian's referred to the land (ta) as a determinitive; ie as the thing itself, but also as having an essence or god Aker (3kr).
- The idea of a measured field which is about an acre of land being sufficient to give sustenance when improved by being plowed and cultivated, irrigated, weeded, tended; is differentiated from unimproved land. My expectation is that the god Aker as represented on the palettes of Narmer and the Scorpion king is the essence of inheritable property; measured, plowed, cultivated land as opposed to deserts, mountains, forests, swamps, wilderness that are part of a common wealth, as a right to sustenance in return for service
- The Mesopotamian concept of land divisions are comparable to those of the Egyptians, Greek's, Persian's, Romans, and Europeans using an extension of the proportions of body measures into the proportions of agricultural measures, and eventually into the canons of architecture whose measured drawings use the same symbols that are used to measure fields, roads, distances between places.
- The names of the divisions of distance measures into definable property in terms of an area of so many square feet, Egyptian bes, Greek pous, Roman pes share systematic legal definitions as property in their etymology. 142.0.102.186 (talk) 07:20, 4 December 2015 (UTC)
Solstice
[edit]The article says Since the sun reaches its peak (its solstice) in the zodiac of Leo, these heads were usually those of lions. The summer solstice is in fact in June, and the Sun is in the zodiac of Leo between late July and late August. Also, I'm not entirely sure the Egyptians knew the zodiac that is known today. – Alensha talk 15:09, 24 June 2010 (UTC)
Seeing
[edit]the story there for many to see is in the sky and those who can see it, understood, and it has a picture of Angelions, two opposing heads of lions with long long necks along with 'Horus of the Horizon', a pharoah shaped, head image (with head dress as Pharoahs) appearing approx on summer soltice ab June 21 each year... these sky images were understood, correctly, to be the image of God, his face and so that was used to "present" across the then white limestone face of the center pyramid, the great pyramid, the face of God, which is the face also, and its origins just explained., of the sphinx it self.... and so those "seeing" saw the face of God and about him the two lions... esp noting that the Muslim claiming to love Allah, tore the white limestone faces off the 3 pyramids to build their mosques esp, ruining that just described TV show, set in the heavens by God that played out across the larger screen of the pyramid faces ....these images are spirit like images and are visible when pointed out to anyone but not readily or immediately seen, as they are fainter, but there ....'be still and know" sr ... !! 24.186.56.245 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 09:53, 30 September 2012 (UTC)
