Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format. DRAGON BOOSTER 15:02, 10 October 2017 (UTC)

In light of recent evidence, I would like to request changing of Ajmal Kassab's birhtplace to Bidhuna, UP in India. MonkeyPandey23 (talk) 15:45, 22 November 2018 (UTC)

The times of India article above does not support that. noq (talk) 15:52, 22 November 2018 (UTC)

Terrorist

@Ravensfire: please read WP:TERRORIST. Mumbai attacks was an undisputed act of terrorism and Kasab is mentioned as terrorist in all reliable media. accordingly you have been reverted. --DBigXray 17:47, 24 January 2019 (UTC)

Hmm, gonna strongly disagree with you. A flat-out label of terrorist is strongly discouraged. Have you read the Osama Bin Ladin article? It's interesting - he's not flatly described as a terrorist as you've done here. Instead, it's a description of who is describing them as such. Terrorist is an exceptionally POV term and it's almost never universal. Groups that support their actions probably don't call him a terrorist - freedom fighter, martyr, etc. Those phrases aren't used here though. Please consider reverting your edit back to the neutral term and then adding farther down in the lead something about X, Y and Z have declared him a terrorist because of D, E and F. If you'd rather discuss this at WP:BLPN, that's fine, but I think you'd find the general consensus supports WP:TERRORIST. Ravensfire (talk) 18:20, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
Super quick search on BLPN gives this example - W:/Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons/Noticeboard/Archive224#Luis_Posada_Carriles, and the Luis Posada Carriles article has this as the second sentence in the lead - "He was considered a terrorist by the United States' Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Government of Cuba, among others" Not the first which is "...was a Cuban exile militant and Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) agent". Overall, far more nuanced, neutral and more informative. Ravensfire (talk) 18:28, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
  • Honestly it is surreal that I am having this conversation about Kasab.
  • "Terrorist is an exceptionally POV term and it's almost never universal.". Based on your comments it appears to me that you are referring to WP:FRINGE. Please note that Wikipedia is based on the WP:MAINSTREAM media. If large number of independent reliable third party media refer to the subject as a terrorist then wikipedia also has to follow that. per WP:MAINSTREAM.
  • you should check out Anders Behring Breivik whose article refers to him as a terrorist in the first line of the lead.
  • There is no rule that says the word "Terrorist" is banned in wikipedia, if you want such a rule, then please get the rule first instead of enforcing your personal opinion on articles.
  • Kasab is dead, and has been dead for 6 years now. I am flabbergasted, as to why you would believe Kasab qualifies for a WP:BLP .
  • Fact remains that he is a terrorist who has been convicted of charges of terrorism and hanged. (read charges here) 26/11 case: Apex court upholds death sentence of Kasab
  • Each and every media source in India calls this person a Terrorist, so I will skip them. Here are some examples from international reliable media neither associated with India or Pakistan.

Gradually confronting the young terrorist who had just killed several dozen innocent -

KASAB THE FACE OF 26/11 By Rommel Rodrigues

Surviving terrorist Kasab admitted membership In Lashkar. -

The 50 Worst Terrorist Attacks By Edward F. Mickolus, Susan L. Simmons

Chapter Fourteen , The Captured Terrorist- Kasab

The Mumbai Massacre By Forgione David

Death penalty for grinning Mumbai terrorist Mohammad Ajmal Kasab -

The Australian

Those calls combine with the testimony of the captured terrorist Ajmal Kasab, to create an extra-ordinary chronology of the attacks. -

Terror in Mumbai - ABC news
--DBigXray 22:12, 24 January 2019 (UTC)
My suggestion on handling this would be to use the militant label in the first sentence, then after the third sentence ("only attacker captured") add something like "Kasab was the only attacker captured alive by police. He has been called a terrorist throughout India." and use the sources you gave above. Ravensfire (talk) 17:51, 28 January 2019 (UTC)

FYI - I've started a discussion on this matter at Wikipedia:Biographies of living persons/Noticeboard#Ajmal Kasab and Zabiuddin Ansari - Terrorist label. Hopefully this will help drive a solid path forward. Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 17:30, 28 January 2019 (UTC)
