In the context of the bonding of Ashaman in the Red Ajah section: As far as the last printed book described it, the plan to bond Ashaman was descussed only by a small group of reds, a few of them were sent to check of the viability of this option and were suprised to find that Taim agreed. However he said "Accept 'very well' and ask who will let you bond them" so it is possible nothing will come of this. In the article it seems like this is a widelly known plan that is already being implemented. The contraversy spoken of in the article are the words of red amongst a handfull. Although this will likely be the status by the 12th book it is not clear where the editor got this information. More importantly its not even clear if the reds will gain priority in bonding Ashaman as the rabel Aes Sedai have already been given permission by Rand to bong Ashaman.
