Casualties and Losses

[edit]

I am fairly certain that the Coalition didn't lose 44 aircraft in air combat... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.136.232.226 (talk) 18:58, 12 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Awesome

[edit]

Great job to the person who created this page. I was hoping one like it would be made one day.--$1LENCE D00600D (talk) 23:00, 7 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There is no February 29 since 1991 was not a leap year. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.34.168.9 (talk) 05:28, 23 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Predators?

[edit]

Currently, 11 RQ-1s are listed as being lost. They weren't even introduced until the mid 1990s. Removing this from here if no one has any objections. nf utvol (talk) 02:18, 16 August 2013 (UTC) Also, the Predator is not armed with the Stinger missile, or at least was not at the time of the claimed engagement. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.174.59.62 (talk) 14:39, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Take these with a grain of salt

[edit]

The engagement between Sayhood and Rodriguez isn't accurate. The MiG-23 does not have a better turn radius than the F-15 at any speed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:4:1E80:227:93B:CD0B:8456:1A9 (talk) 02:55, 13 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Rick "Tuleni" is actually Rick Tollini. His personal call sign is "Kluso." I had the privilege of flying with him in the 12 FS, at Kadena AB. I am currently editing his book that recounts this engagement with the MiG-25s. Neil "Kiwi" Holland — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.37.11.107 (talk) 02:50, 1 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Possible sources?

[edit]

I notice that almost all of the more detailed engagements were covered in History Channel's Dogfights, often using similar wording from the show's accounts? Do we really want to follow a TV show as a guideline for content? 108.45.90.44 (talk) 01:27, 21 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Weak source for most of article

[edit]

Most of the article seems to be based on the table [1] which is originally from an IP address, only available on archive.org, and attributed in the ref to "acig.com" which would be American Contractors Insurance Group which doesn't seem correct. Also that reference doesn't contain the details included in this article. Are there any better sources for this? —DIYeditor (talk) 00:52, 12 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

ACIG in this case is "Air Combat Information Group". There are better sources, such as books detailing various engagements blow by blow. The problem is the contributor(s) to this page appear to have read the ACIG table, and just sort of made up some of the details of the events described on this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by SavesEmNot (talkcontribs) 00:47, 17 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
