Helmet
[edit]How exactly is the USAFA football helmet the "second most recognizable helmet in the nation"? I have a hard time believing that one..... please show me some evidence or strike it. I got a crazy feeling that the bolt is probably somewhere closer to 100th most recognizable, somewhere between Texas Tech and Hofstra.
- No way. It's recognizable to a serious college football fan, but no way would it rate second. Any of the helmets that have the school's name on it (i.e. LSU, California, Illinois, etc.) is obviously more recognizable. Not to mention the Texas Longhorn, the Michigan stripes, USC's Trojan...Air Force is nowhere near the top. Jsc1973 (talk) 21:37, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
Fight Song
[edit]For what it's worth, the Academy's fight song is not "The Air Force Song" ("Off we go..."), although that is certainly the most recognizable song you hear at games, and may even be played more frequently than then the fight song for that reason. The official fight song is entitled simply "Falcon Fight Song" and the lyrics start with "Fly, you Falcons, down the field; tear the enemy asunder...". - Tarfu92 17:12, 13 September 2007 (UTC)
Why is AF in MWC but Army and Navy Football are "independent?
[edit]Why is Air Force Football in the Mountain West Conference but Army and Navy are independent for football (and in Patriot League for everything else? Why are none of the 3 in the Patriot League for football?
