[edit]I think this prince is the same as Ahmose-Sipair. Dodson places him earlier in the dynasty. The first son of Ahmose I was Ahmose-ankh, he was the one who predeceased his father, thus allowing Amenhotep I to inherit. – Alensha talk 15:07, 6 July 2009 (UTC)

"Therefore, the mummy formerly thought to be Thutmose I [but who is a prince] stands a goodchance of being Ahmose-Sipair" -- Marianne Luban
There are 2 or 3 different Sipair's of similar timeframe. One is the son of Seqenenre_Tao. And a second one who appears to be the son of Ahmose. I think the 5 year old is the elder. The mummy of Thutmose I, who is 30 years old, does not conform to the expected age of Thutmose I(60 years old). I think this 30 year old mummy is that of Ahmose Sipair. A possible third Sipair is listed on a monument as the son of Ahmosi(Sister of Amenhotep I) and Wedehu Senbu(Unknown).
Additionally, Manetho shares the story of Osarsiph. I believe this story refers to Ahmose Sipair. https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Osarseph
Additionally, Manetho lists an additional pharoah, Khebron, before Amenhotep I. I believe this pharoah is not Thutmose I out of order, but that of a missing additional pharoah, Ahmose Sipair. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 73.57.110.91 (talk) 19:27, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
- From all the evidence it seems that Chebron was Thutmose II and it is out of order. It is clear that none of the Sipairs ever became pharaoh. 79.129.93.148 (talk) 14:48, 17 July 2024 (UTC)

Mummy of 5 year old Sapair - re-identified as the son of Amenhotep I
[edit]The 5 year old Sapair was the son of Amenhotep I. He is called Rapses by Manetho via Josephus:
https://penelope.uchicago.edu/Thayer/E/Roman/Texts/Manetho/History_of_Egypt/2*.html
"245 As for his five-year‑old son Rapsês[a different Sapair],93 he sent him safely away to his friend.94"
Rapses in this text is Sapair spelled backward to differentiate him from Ahmose Sapair. 2601:58B:E7F:8410:F562:AB3A:D130:6069 (talk) 19:07, 27 January 2024 (UTC)

Biographical data: Prince Amosis Sipair was probably a son of Amosis I, although he is sometimes viewed as the son of Amenhotep I. (Source Bibliography: DRN, 253.) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:58B:E7F:8410:F562:AB3A:D130:6069 (talk) 19:16, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
