Proposed article deletion 1 April 2009

[edit]

I strongly disagree that this article should be deleted. It is as yet still a stub, but the organisation, which was only formed today, as the article now shows, has a £150 million turnover, and is the largest age related organisation in the uk, so it is notable on both those points at least. I'm not sure why the article is considered spam though. I will expand the article further with more references and facts as and when more information becomes available. A worthy entry. Would like to hear some of the views opposing the merger, and any apparent benefit. I am not qualified to write this, but feel there was and is another view. Similarly I feel unqualified to write about the new brand, but feel there surely must be a view that "concern" and "help" are key terms and values ditched in the change. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.31.138.138 (talk) 11:59, 1 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It is not necessarily the case that bigger organisations will prosper, and deliver a better result for the public. It might be that a variety of already well established and well-run organisations, will complement and work together to enhance their outcomes. Diversity is often a good idea, and corporate ambitions are usually not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.23.41.48 (talk) 22:02, 11 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
