Agaricus and Agarical cover the same genus (prior proposal merge with Agaricales incorrect because that is an order). RJFJR 16:22, August 4, 2005 (UTC)

Homeopathy

[edit]

The homeopathy claims in this article didn't appear to have any current notability - no source from this decade mentions it's use? PouponOnToast (talk) 00:38, 21 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Changes

[edit]

Following the example of Cortinarius (and others), I'm moving the long list of Agaricus species to its own page. It's not terribly useful right now, but I'll have a go and see what I can do with it. This page could use a serious overhaul as well... time to do some reading! Sasata (talk) 05:55, 20 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

pictures

[edit]

Speaking as an ignoramus, not even a novice, I see a substantial difference between the two pictures of specimens of Agaricus campestris in the article. The stipes are of relatively different thicknesses. Does this matter? Likely enough I am mistaken.

Sorry I haven't worked out how to show the pictures properly.Chjoaygame (talk) 18:01, 23 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I've placed the images above without the taxoboxes. Plantdrew (talk) 20:24, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Not only does there seem to be a difference between the stipe thicknesses, but also it is hard to see the gills of the mushroom in the single picture; they look pale. For Agaricus campestris of that size and maturity, I would expect to see the gills with a dark colour, darker than I see in the picture.Chjoaygame (talk) 20:44, 13 February 2025 (UTC)[reply]
