I found that the "Description" section of this article was properly attributed, but violated copyright: it contained text verbatim from both of the cited sources. I removed that text entirely and rewrote the description section.

There's probably not that much more in the ecological literature on this plant, although the fact that it's been treated as a variety of A. purpurea (var. parviflora or var. paupercula) makes it a little trickier to follow. There's probably more technical morphological data to be found in some of the publications by Canne-Hiliker and Hays. I don't know if the Neel lab is actively pursuing this taxon right now, but they're the most likely candidates to resolve whether it deserves specific status.
