Criticism - "Unbalanced" tag
[edit]This section makes the whole page feel biased against the ACMD. Was the Commons committee report really completely negative about the ACMD as the selection of quotes suggests? And even if so, this section really must be balanced with some other views. I'll look into this myself when I have the time, but in the meantime I've applied an "Unbalanced" tag. The article seems reasonably balanced to me. The tag is too broad brush and so I have removed it. Please tag sections if they seem to need attention as this will be clearer. Colonel Warden (talk) 08:10, 2 November 2009 (UTC)
- I agree with Martpol. The Criticism section concentrates on a Commons Committee report now four years old, but I had to re-read the article to understand that this was a long time ago, before Nutt became chairman. This section should become an "earlier criticism" section and "recent criticism" - relevant to the Nutt controversy - should be shown separately. This needs to balance criticism from government with criticism of the government's handling of the committee and its chairman. I would write this if I was qualified to do so but it needs someone who knows the ACMD and the issues better than me.Gordoncph (talk) 17:21, 2 April 2010 (UTC)
Value for money?
[edit]This "if it still represented value for money for the public" was just inserted but I heard David Nutt on TV the other day saying that the members aren't paid anything to be on the committee! Should this be changed/removed? Smartse (talk) 20:52, 2 November 2009 (UTC) (signed late)
