- ... that during the First World War, Adrian Becher received his second Military Cross for leading the defence of a position for five days, despite having been buried by a shell explosion on the first day? Source: "For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty. For five days he held a most difficult position with his company under continuous; and heavy fire. Though buried by a shell on the first day, he remained at duty, moving up and down the line, encouraging his men, under heavy fire. As a result of his efforts the line was strongly consolidated and a continuous trench was dug. Throughout the operations he set a magnificent, example to all ranks" from: "No. 30389". The London Gazette (Supplement). 16 November 1917. p. 11950.
- ALT1: ... that British Army officer Adrian Becher was awarded two Military Crosses in three months in 1917? Source: First MC awarded 16 August: "No. 30234". - Article has been expanded 5x within the last week, and is plenty long enough.
- It is well and neutrally written throughout.
- In-line citations to sources are provided.
- It is free of any copyvio that I can detect.
- Most of the information about his military career is supported by the London Gazette sources; the stuff about his cricket career is paywalled, but I'm happy to AGF on that.
- The hooks are both interesting, and properly formatted; I personally prefer Alt0.
- QPQ is done.

- Added a comma to ALT0 (which I'm about to promote), which makes it exactly 200 characters. ~StyyxTalk? 20:41, 3 August 2022 (UTC)
