  • Source: "Recent studies confirm that the barely legible date on the painting is 1563, not 1567 as it was long taken to be". from Bruegel: The Master (Catalogue of the 450th Anniversary exhibition in Vienna), Elke Oberthaler, Sabine Pénot, Manfred Sellink and Ron Spronk, with Alice Hoppe-Harnoncourt et a., 2019, Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna/Thames & Hudson (English version). The painting is #65. online text. The other dates (from 1565 to 1567) are not controversial, & covered in Gibson, Wied, the Vienna catalogue or at List of paintings by Pieter Bruegel the Elder

Review follows:

Thank you for an unusual Christmas card playing with white Christmas ;) - Fine sources, offline sources accepted AGF, no copyvio obvious. The pic is licensed and needed. - I'm planning a DYK for 26 December (2nd day of Christmas), a GA to be written. I'll let you know if I need a reviewer for GA or DYK. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:14, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Um, Gerda Arendt I already reviewed this raised an issue with the hook wording which needs to get resolved first. RoySmith (talk) 22:25, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know if we had a strange kind of edit conflict, - I saw "please replace by review ..." and was under the impression I was the only reviewer. Forget my review then. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:34, 7 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Both ALTs approved. Prefer ALT0a. NightWolf1223 <Howl at meMy hunts> 01:58, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
