Copyvio in synopsis

[edit]

I have removed the synopsis which was a copyvio from GroveMusicOnline. The synopsis needs to be re-written. Before doing so please read carefully: WP:Copyright violations, WP:Close paraphrasing, WP:Plagiarism and a useful summary at Wikipedia:Copy-paste. Reference Cleanup

[edit]

I've reformatted the references to improve appearance. If anyone has a (or has access to) copy of Gioachino Rossini: A Guide to Research by Denise Gallo could they supply the missing page or page references from that book.Graham1973 (talk) 13:22, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The material attributed to Gallo, i.e. most of the Performance history section is a virtually verbatim copy paste from this page at the University of Chicago Center for Italian Opera Studies website. Voceditenore (talk) 14:01, 12 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, might be worth going through the other opera articles and making sure that we don't have any more fake references hiding in there.Graham1973 (talk) 05:03, 13 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
