Get Rich or Die Tryin'

[edit]

Just wanted to see if anyone knew here (since no one talks on the movie talk page), was this guy Majestic in Curtis Jackson's movie, Get Rich or Die Tryin'? I'm almost certain he was, due to the relatively evil look he has on his face in the photo that immediatley makes me think of Majestic .. Mattfish 14:51, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

"and sometimes called "The Most Feared Man in Hollywood." ----- this just seems like a non-sequitir since there is no explanation at all of what it means....

Birthplace

[edit]

Per his inter view with Tavis Smiley whicch aired on 22 Jan 2006 at 0130, I changed his birth place from London to Nigeria per AAA himself.--68.85.27.47 06:57, 22 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Doctor Who and Abisola Agbaje

[edit]

In this week's episode of Doctor Who ("Fear Her"), a young girl named Chloe Webber is played by Abisola Agbaje.

Are Adewale and her related?

I have been thinking exactly the same thing. While I do not know if she is related, in an interview with her:

http://news.bbc.co.uk/cbbcnews/hi/newsid_5090000/newsid_5098400/5098406.stm she says that she would like a part in 'Lost'. Coincidence? SergeantBolt 09:12, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Do you know how racially insenstive that sounds? What if they were two hispanic actors with the last name of Lopez? Would you naturally assume they are related? --68.103.154.140 03:09, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think you are reading way too much into an innocent comment. I would imagine there are very few nigerian actors 'using the name Agbaje' (as apposed to a screen name). the chances of the two being related (with Adewale helping Abisola get into the business) seem pretty reasonable to me. comparing Agbaje to Lopez when talking about last names of actors is just silly. Type in "Lopez" into imdb, you get 2,883 names. Type in "Agbaje" you get 2- Adewale and Abisola, who are both Londoners and actors. It's a reasonable question.

great lost spoiler there

[edit]

thanks for that.

Instead of just complaining, do something about it. I had to see the spoiler to add a warning. If you, or anyone else in the past had done that, it wouldn't have happened.

Lords of War

[edit]

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje didn't play in Lords of War, Eamonn Walker did. Removed. Usonophile 16:49, 30 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Bourne Identity

[edit]

Surely this was his most famous role? Why not mention it in the ifo box? --nocturnal omnivorous canine 20:06, 3 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Triple A" Nickname?

[edit]

This nickname (mostly given by the media) has been mentioned on programmes like T4: Popworld and the such like. Should it be on here?

He was aslo in Ace vantura pet detective and an episode of ER —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.18.115.126 (talk) 06:43, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

best known role?

[edit]

Is he really 'best known' for his role on Lost or is that just his most current role? I think a lot of people still think of him as Adebisi. harlock_jds (talk) 20:59, 10 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The IPA English guide is atrocious

[edit]

The voice guide is fine but the written guide one is horrible. First, it's in IPA English but the language is Yoruba. The pronunciation offered by the written guide simply does not match the correct pronunciation in Yoruba. If I get no reply, I'm deleting that. — Python Drink (talk) 13:39, 16 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

That is an etymological fallacy. Akinnuoye-Agbaje is a British actor born, raised, and working in the anglosphere. The only correct pronunciation of his name in English, a language he natively speaks, is the one he uses. Nardog (talk) 01:50, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

do native speakers of English clearly understand this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:3033:2:34D:1:1:6D42:BBDE (talk) 12:55, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
