Later Life

[edit]

I hope I am not being obtuse or fussy, but is the second sentence in the paragraph a little unclear. Was the bank robbery unsuccessful because of Ames' investment in the bank or did the James gang try to rob the bank because of Ames' investment?History1861 (talk) 21:30, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

That was so fussy I had to replace my mouse pad with a doily to respond, but I think I clarified it. :-) Feel free to edit it yourself if that didn't do the trick. (The Jesse James article has more details on the bank job.) Hal Jespersen (talk) 00:48, 26 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Article issues

[edit]
  • This is listed as a B-class article. The criteria (#1) states, The article is suitably referenced, with inline citations. It has reliable sources, and any important or controversial material which is likely to be challenged is cited. The "American Civil War" section has a "citation needed" tag dated January 2009.
  • The lead section needs expanding to provide "a concise overview of the article's topic".
  • Per WP:ELCITE "...access dates are not appropriate in the external links section. Do not use {{cite web}} or other citation templates in the External links section". With seven entries the section needs trimming per "This page in a nutshell" and WP:ELPOINTS #3. -- Otr500 (talk) 05:34, 14 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
