- ... that Adam W. Oberlin (pictured), 1917 Republican nominee for mayor of Canton, Ohio, went missing and was found seven months later working as a carpenter in Norfolk, Virginia? Source: https://www.newspapers.com/article/the-virginian-pilot-ohio-senator-working/129737397/

- Article is long enough and new enough; no sourcing, copyright, or content issues were found. Hook meets length and format criterion; hook source identified above covers all facts except Republican connection which I found in another source used in the article so hook is good to go. Image was originally published in 1918 so it is in Public Domain; rollover tag is done. QPQ review is still pending.--Orygun (talk) 04:26, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
- Comment: This is my second DYK nom, so I believe I am not required to do a QPQ this time: QPQ check --Engineerchange (talk) 16:49, 15 August 2023 (UTC)
- If this is your second DYK nomination, I'm pretty sure QPQ review isn't required... so DYK should be good to go.--Orygun (talk) 17:06, 25 August 2023 (UTC)
