Lead

[edit]

*Try to not mention album twice in one sentence

Done
  • Two originals appear on the set, which were written by Aly & AJ with Armato and James -> I think you should tell us which they are
Well this is the lead and it is supposed to only summarize. If that were so then I would name all the Christmas carols too. I could see if just one song, but since more than one, I believe it should be left to the body.
  • It utilizes influences of pop, pop rock, ->It uses pop influence
Done.
  • and teen pop on Christmas music -> and?
  • The album received generally positive reviews, complimenting -> who complimented? you need to write critics
Done.
  • and peaked on the Top Holiday Albums chart at fourteen -> and peaked at # on the Holiday
Done
  • It was the second best-selling holiday album of 2006 -> The reference used in the body does not verify this in any way. I also don't see how its possible; it only peaked at number 78. According to this source, the best-seller that year was Sarah McLachlan's which peaked at #7. I don't see how #2 that year could have that much of a gap.
Hmmm, that is interesting. But that's what the book said.
The source isn't a book though, its a Billboard page that verifies chart peaks.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 17:15, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • Walt Disney Christmas Parade -> link
There is no page for that.
Walt Disney World Christmas Day Parade :P.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 17:15, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Background

[edit]

*were enlisted to executive produce -> were hired as executive producers

Done, but using "recruited" as I believe Armato and James are the label's producers, so were already hired.

Composition

[edit]

*Acoustic Hearts of Winter is musically Christmas music -> re-write

Done
  • while two original numbers are also present -> including two original songs
Hope you don't think I question anything, but I don't see what's wrong with "two original numbers..." Candyo32 15:07, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I don't mind :) That part isn't the issue, its the "also are present," maybe try included.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 17:17, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Critical reception

[edit]

*I don't see how "JesusFreakHideout" and "The Celebrity Cafe" are reliable music critics. IMO, About.com is already pushing it.

Well first of all for starters they seem refutable enough to warrant their own Wiki page, but then again TMZ does too. In vein of a smaller, holiday album GA like Sounds of the Season: The Taylor Swift Holiday Collection, I think we can only use the best of what is available, and this seems to be as reliable as we can get. Candyo32 15:07, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • complimented the classic Christmas songs done in a -> re-write
What's wrong needs to be rewritten? Candyo32 14:52, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"done in a" doesn't flow or read well, change those last few words before the quote.--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 17:22, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Chart performance

[edit]

*On the chart issued December 2, 2006 -> dated

Done.
  • A week later, it moved up to number fourteen, where it peaked. It spent fourteen weeks on the chart -> try to merge into one sentence
Sounds kind of garbled together, but done.
  • Second best-selling is not verified in reference
Oops wrong ref. Fixed. Candyo32 15:07, 25 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Promotion

[edit]

*and another which features soley the sisters -> syntax and re-write

Done
  • at an opening at -> act
Done
I've done everything except for the page numbers, because I cannot tell which page numbers there are because they are not present and pages do not appear in between the preview of it on Google Books. Candyo32 16:16, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Its alright, I won't have that stop you. Good job!--CallMeNathanTalk2Me 04:10, 8 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
