Synonyms

The species names for Acianthus are contentious. For species found only in NSW (like Acianthus caudatus/Nemacianthus caudatus) perhaps it would be best to use the name accepted by the National Herbarium of New South Wales (ie. plantnet), for W.A. species, FloraBase and for N.Z. http://www.nzflora.info? Interesting that the article did not mention New Caledonia in the text but included it in the distribution map. The New Caledonian species listed are all listed in http://www.endemia.nc/flore/. It would be better if articles about these species were written and the distributions were removed from the genus page. Gderrin (talk)
