[edit]The editor has cited quite a few sources, magazines and newspapers, etc. I don't think that it's fair to say that this doesn't support/assert notability. It's certainly not in any way controversial or inflammatory--I don't see why this is a speedy delete and I feel the editor should be given a chance to defend or improve the work.
This was marked for speedy once, first time by me, and the editor added sources. It was marked for copyright vio and the editor added official permissions (all done with links to tickets on the talk page and everything, although they need to be re-added to this version). It's been marked AGAIN and the editor has made yet /more/ citations, following the advice I left on his/her talk page...
These are strong indicators of good faith--shouldn't we show the same? Wysdom 15:54, 22 April 2007 (UTC)
- I'm not sure of the standard of some of the sources, an ISSN link I tried doesn't check out, and one of the newspapers is published from Clifton New Jersey - not sure if these are major trusted sources.--Lopakhin (talk) 01:56, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Page move needed
[edit]Lopakhin, you seem to be editing the page right now, so I won't move this to Abu-Abdullah Adelabu at the moment. Could you do it when you reach a stopping point? Thanks. Picaroon (t) 01:58, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
- Okay, you've moved on to something else, so I'll move it now. Picaroon (t) 02:18, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
Notability
[edit]The article doesn't make clear why the authors thought this passed WP:BIO. Is this presented under WP:PROF (acadmic biography or what)? Just because somebody is a scholar or academic doesn't mean they should have a Wikipedia biography article. --dab (𒁳) 09:52, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
