It is an abuse to use these pages for advertising. Removed the reference to a private business. myork 15:06, 6 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Claims like Famous people need to be substantiated. Do you have a online reference myork 14:49, 15 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Added information about Tornado/Glider near collision. Also changed sentence about Royal Family. Consider removing their mention altogether. Popher 23:15, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I think the proximity of Balmoral Castle is worth keeping as part of the article. myork 13:19, 26 May 2006 (UTC).[reply]

The map with the red dot is wrong. The lat and long for Aboyne is 57.076617, -2.779493. Does anyone know how to correct the map? (it's okay now, I corrected it)

News

[edit]

Personally I don't think recent news story should be included in the main text as this quickly becomes dated and non-relevant. Maybe a section at the bottom about recent news stories with dates would be more appropriate. myork 16:13, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Go for it! I was thinking of doing a proper references section to solve this problem but I might not get around to it any time soon. --BWDuncan 16:54, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Good idea. Popher 22:47, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Aberdeen Stub?

[edit]

The page currently reads that this is an Aberdeen location stub... but Aboyne isnt in Aberdeen, it is in Aberdeenshire. Is this a fault because there isnt a category of Aberdeenshire stubs? Or because its close enough to Aberdeen? Or just a mistake? Popher 23:00, 24 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

George W. Melvin

[edit]

This statement has been added twice "Aboyne is the hometown of eminent mathematician George W. Melvin", however there is no supporting reference for this, and a quick look myself did not show up any information about him. That's not to say the person doesn't exist, but at the moment, their eminence (or existence) is difficult to ascertain. If you have external references for this please re-add. For more information please see WP:VERIFY and WP:CITE. Seajay (talk) 13:00, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
