Infobox
  • Sara Martínez De Teresa → Sara Martínez de Teresa. Spanish prepositions are rarely capitalized (4.3)
  • May 1, 1963 → The rest of the article uses dmy, stick to one style.
  • Citizenship: Mexico → Mexican
Lead
  • Currently it is too short and summarizes very specific details of Murrieta. Refer to WP:LEAD for further information.
  • Only "material that is challenged or likely to be challenged, and direct quotations" should be sourced per MOS:LEADCITE. That he served as Deputy is unlikely to be challenged; his controversies are.
  • Per Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Capital letters#Titles of people "deputy".
  • The IPA text is unsourced and incorrect. It's not "fɾãnˈsisko", that's how you pronounce San Francisco. It's "fɾanˈsisko". This is why sources should be included.
Career
  • "Born in Ciudad Obregón" → "Born in Ciudad Obregón, Sonora,"
  • "at the Universidad Autónoma de Nuevo León," → It's very likely the page is moved to the English title, so you should change it as well.
  • "providing legal counsel to various businesses in the Sonoran capital of Hermosillo" → the source says "en Ciudad Obregón, Sonora." As a matter of fact "Hermosillo" is mentioned 0 times there.
  • "as well as a stint" → The concept of stint indicates "a period of time", so "stint" might be an incorrect word here.
And well, he did not teach "law", he taught business law, commercial law and administrative law.
  • "a few years later." → The last period of time was "from 1986 to 1991". According to the source, he taught from 1985 to 1990, from 1991 to 1992 and from 1997 to 1998. "A few years later" doesn't work because is vague and inaccurate.
Sonora Attorney General
  • "various capacities" → you meant "positions"?
  • "When Guillermo Padrés Elías of the rival National Action Party" → At this point, you have not mentioned that Murrieta is from the Institutional Revolutionary Party beyond the lead.
  • "he gutted the entire cabinet, sparing only Murrieta" → let's not go to the extremes. You can simply say "he fired the entire cabinet except for Murrieta".

*"recommended him as honest and incorruptible" → "called him "honest and incorruptible"". Without quotations, it sounds like it's your opinion, and that way you avoid the literal translation of "lo recomendó como honesto e incorruptible."

2009 Hermosillo daycare center fire

The most problematic section I found when I picked it up, and the reason of why I picked it up. It's mined with opinions everywhere.

  • "Notably, significant controversy arose regarding his handling of the infamous daycare center fire..." → These words are opinions. If a source said them, you should attribute them instead. For example, "According to The Source, Murrieta is known for his handling of the daycare fire, which has been called "infamous", "X", "Y" and "Z".
  • "Eduardo Bours quickly admitted" → How "quick" is "quickly" (MOS:RELTIME).
  • The fire has a page (2009 Hermosillo daycare center fire). This article is WP:coatracking the fire with sentences like "the only government official to serve any time was Delia Irene Botello Amante, the last government employee to visit to the daycare before the fire". This article is about Murrieta, not about the fire, her arrest doesn't affect him in any way. The information from "In July he announced..." to "and released in 2014 due to technical issues" is what has to be merged into 2009 Hermosillo daycare center fire, assuming it's not already there.
  • "A year after the tragedy" → Tragic, but WP:NPOV.
  • "Among other demands for new governor" → He was new then, not now.
  • "Guillermo Padrés Elías" → "Padrés Elías", he is already mentioned above.
  • noticeably is another point of view.
  • "by the state ministry of finance" → isn't it the Secretariat of Finance?[1]
  • A theory → A hypothesis
  • "The entire scandal has since become emblematic of the impunity, corruption and nepotism exhibited by public officials in the country" is another sentence that needs to be neutralized.

More comments to be added later. TB 05:14, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

Congress of Sonora
  • "committees on audit/fiscal review, labor/public works, economic development/tourism, energy/environment, health, rules/legislative precedence, and water." → MOS:SLASH.
  • "to the Sonora Institute of Technology, a school he taught business law at from 1985 to 1990" → already mentioned above.
Chamber of Deputies
  • "It was a landslide, as he took 49.34%" → That's hardly a landslide
  • "rival"; they were rivals then, now they're BFF.
  • "he was a member of seven committees" → "Integrante de las comisiones de Vigilancia del ISAF (1); Asuntos del Trabajo (2); Obras y Servicios Públicos (3); Fomento Económico y Turismo (4); Energía y Medio Ambiente (5); Salud (6); Examen Previo y Procedencia Legislativa (7); y, del Agua (8).
  • "however, he resigned from the party and joined PAN". The infobox says that his political party is the PRI, which needs to be updated as well.
Disappearance of Alfredo Jiménez Mota
  • "a powerful Sonoran drug trafficker" → NPOV
  • "only to suspiciously release" → NPOV
Murder of Nepomuceno Moreno Nuñez
  • "Nepomuceno Moreno Nuñez was gunned down" → killed
  • "The almost-immediate criminalization of the victim garnered" → "This garnered"
  • "garnered significant criticism" → not so significant if he still an activepol
  • "Prominent poet and activist Javier Sicilia" → NPOV

I'm missing the references and categories, but I let you finish everything here so they don't move around to different numbers. TB 17:35, 22 April 2021 (UTC)

I forgot about this. @JTtheOG: courtesy ping. (CC) Tbhotch 06:51, 6 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

After three weeks of inactivity on this page, I have to fail this GA nomination. The nominator still editing but never expressed any concern or requested any kind of moratorium. The article lacks a proper structure and it still too unneutral to be considered a good article. 18:02, 12 May 2021 (UTC)
