Unwanted and fabricated use of an Obituary
[edit]Seems like citations are more or less the same as Obituary printed back in 50s. Thank God the author didn't claim, he was himself present at the marriage ceremony of this personality. He can still at least mention his brother in law. Azmarai76 (talk) 06:17, 7 December 2019 (UTC)
- Hello, you still harping on about the same old themes? For your kind information this and other Obituary notices are available in the National Archives of Pakistan, Islamabad, at the Begum Mahmooda Salim Khan Collection. As a Pakistani researcher, you can actually go and apply to consult these files. Regards. AsadUK200 (talk) 20:02, 11 January 2020 (UTC)AsadUK200
Wish you please don't show aggression to every question on the syntax or text of the article and when confronted not complain. I still consider marriage detail of this sort for anyone aren't notable. Please add his achievements I am sure he must have remained as a diplomat at many places or could've been a nice officer. Write something about it with verifiable citations. Marriage Ceremony Details Ref 4
[edit]Why would anyone keep Marriage Ceremony details given in this entry at reference 4??? Is that notable?? Has that to do with his career ?? Is that related to his education or career??? Simply not understandable...Regards Azmarai76 (talk) 19:21, 11 January 2020 (UTC)
- Dear Azmarai76, I have cited in full, the newspaper article of Salim Khan's marriage notice to daughter of Sir Sikandar Hayat Khan, governor Punjab, as it appeared in the Civil and Military Gazette paper, Lahore, British India. It is an important event in that it marked the wedding between two important families of NWFP (Hazara) and Punjab. It was a high profile event at that time and the full citation is useful , as it also helps as a full reference for other scholars and researchers. As copies of this are available in some libraries and archives such as the National Archives of Pakistan (Islamabad) and the Lahore Municipal Library (Lahore) which are not accessible to the general readership. I think that this is a notable event and has historical relevance to this article. You still seem to be obsessed with this one family and its members? Please try to develop an academic and research-oriented , positive attitude. Thanks AsadUK200 (talk) 19:59, 11 January 2020 (UTC)AsadUK200
AsadUK200 obsession and I call it prevention. Is this personality listed as a diplomat?? If marriage ceremony details isn't infringement of one's privacy please make more such citations on his birthdays, eids, and Fasting also. You know it's not notable and I have always been telling you these aren't educational but can be for some other reason. Btw, I told you these are just pages for me and I know they are helping someone so you will keep defending them. I need to fix this
[edit]Please if anyone has detail on his career path provide details I am looking for these myself also. Else it's a stub article and an obituary cannot serve as citation for everything when that too isn't available online. Regards Azmarai76 (talk) 16:49, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
One can discuss and this can be sorted out Azmarai76 (talk) 16:50, 13 January 2020 (UTC)
