Article Needs To be Rewritten
Quite frankly, this article has an immense number of difficulties. It not only exhibits obvious biases both for and against the subject matter, it also contains numerous spelling and grammatical errors. In all likelihood it will take quite some time in order to get this article into a form that is appropriate for use in Wikipedia. A good start, might be to simply transfer most of the material to here on the talk page and then transfer it back to the article page as the changes are "negotiated" by the interested parties.Deconstructhis (talk) 00:38, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
- I've carved a fair bit of material out of this article, for several reasons. First, in my opinion some of it was fairly obviously an attempt on the part of some editors to use the article as a "soapbox" for their political and religious ideology, which of course is forbidden according to the policies of the encyclopedia. I also simply chopped out some material that was potentially libellous in terms of its content, for instance among other examples, accusing someone of "buying" a university degree without offering some solid evidence from a reliable source to support the contention is not allowed in Wikipedia. I will continue to monitor the article, in the hope that this sort of thing will not continue. Thank you Deconstructhis (talk) 20:09, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Removal of Link to behind-the-scenes video
With respect to a link to the video being question being removed as promotional material, the video itself is topical and the subject of the subsection. Would like to revert that removal, please discuss here. Ashankar (talk) 08:41, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Removal of link to satirical mashup of video
Said video consecutively presents incongruity between on-air formality and (nominally) off-air abusive language, hence is relevant. Would like to revert that removal, please discuss here. Ashankar (talk) 08:49, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

Aamir liaquat is just a good singer and Actor....that you cannot take away from him....BUT to believe him as some someone spiritual, holy and Philosopher would be STUPID.
His USSLIYUT is out and so watch not just him BUT other religious and political leaders of Pakistan.....They are all there for Money. Islam or caring for their fellow brother/sister is not their aim in life...Just like a typical human being, they are after their own survival, living high life. WAKE UP GUYS!!!

Article purged
If you Google his name, this article comes up at the top. It looked pretty appalling with its lack of sources. Therefore, I took it upon myself to wipe out this article and replaced it with a single, uncontroversial statement which has a source attached. From now on, if you are going to add anything to the article, it must refer to a published, reliable source. --harej 12:52, 1 August 2008 (UTC)
- I think we both share a concern with the type of unreferenced material that was present in the article, although I have mixed feelings concerning the overall amount of material that was removed. Perhaps this will afford an opportunity to start from 'scratch' and put a properly referenced article together, biographical articles regarding living persons are far more sensitive than what many people believe and Wikipedia policy is quite explicit in that regard. A properly referenced (and neutral) mention of his obvious involvement in the south Asian media is badly needed in my opinion. In my opinion, the article should not be allowed to return to its former state, in which it appeared to be a mishmash combination of unreferenced "puff" claims by some editors, juxtaposed with unsupported obvious attempts to cast the man in an unfavourable light on the part of others. Ideally, Wikipedia articles are neither an opportunity to enhance an individuals public relations position or a soapbox to trash their reputation. That is not to say that potentially "controversial" materials regarding a subject cannot be included in an article, but it is best to keep in mind that the more potentially personally damaging a given piece of information is, the greater the onus is on substantially referencing from reliable sources the claims being made. In terms of what does or does not constitute "original research", editors should keep in mind that any time a "primary document" (even videos can fall under this category) is used, according to policy an editor cannot draw specific inferences from the material that have not already been made by other reliable mainstream sources and of course these must be supported by a proper citation. I will continue to monitor this article in the hope of helping to rebuild it into an informative and perhaps most importantly *neutral* source of information regarding this person. regards Deconstructhis (talk) 18:17, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

The problem is that this article should also include controversies and criticisms as a heading. I request the editors to include such a section on this page specially regarding his abusive language video.

Edit
I have edited the article - atleast some of it. The rest I will complete later with all the complete references. Meanwhile the info is NOT ORIGINAL RESEARCH - I'll refer it ASAP. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mrizwankhan (talk • contribs) 11:15, 7 January 2008 (UTC)
- That's not how it works. You don't get to add unsubstantiated claims, and expect no changes because you promise that citations are forthcoming. You add the citations WITH THE CLAIMS, or the claims get removed. Neutron Jack (talk) 05:24, 19 February 2012 (UTC)
NPOV
MR. Hussain's article is far from neutral it does not mention his diploma-mill degrees. and several other controversial events that were the headlines of major international news sources. It needs to to rewritten. The Determinator p t c 01:26, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
- I've trimmed the list of maintenance tags at the top of the article, rather than putting back all six tags that Special:Contributions/68.39.53.180 has twice removed. If you have reliable sources for the controversies then by all means restore the {{POV}} tag and/or add the information to the article. I'm taking this one off my watchlist now; I'm only here because it turned up in my scan for articles with syntax errors in their infoboxes. -- John of Reading (talk) 21:25, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
- His fake degrees new articles are abundunt on google news, here in one. [[1]] I will restore NPOV, if you have more questions please feel free to let me know. The Determinator p t c 22:09, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Reverting Edits
Several times, I have edited to article to remove violations of MOS:Islam and WP:NPOV, and 68.39.53.180 has reverted the edits. I do not wish to cause an edit war. 68.39.53.180, could you please explain your motivation in reverting my edits? I will explain MOS:Islam and WP:NPOV to you, if you wish. Neutron Jack (talk) 06:41, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
- To add on, 68.39.53.180 has only edited this article, I am for a protection of this page. The Determinator p t c 21:47, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
I am considering removing achievements section and adding on controversies section. All input for or against is appreciated. The Determinator p t c 22:29, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
Jahil Online Reference
The reference is a not from a personal blog but a WP:NEWSBLOG. The article clearly states that people refer to him Jahil Online. Also if you want to verify this independently you can start from googling "Jahil Onilne" AND "Aamir Liaquat Husain" you will get several thousand hits. I think the former should be sufficient as the latter might be WP:S. - The Determinator p t c 12:09, 15 July 2012 (UTC)
- Okay I might have misunderstood the citation. However, I think any one who searches for "Jahil Online" on Google or Wiki might be biased to begin with. Jahil means "ignorant". The second sentence in a wiki article calling someone ignorant doesn't look too neutral to me. May be the paragraph could be restructured and the "Jahil" reference could be moved farther towards the end.Anaverageguy (talk) 23:48, 16 July 2012 (UTC)
- I did not give him that name. Honestly, I don't care what it means. All I care is that it is a fact and can be verified. I am just reporting this common nicknames. I don't think including that one sentence makes it biased. I think it will be more biased to leave that information out. He is very consistently referred to as Jahil Online, and such a nickname has encyclopedic value. We have a policy regarding it:WP:POVTITLE an example of its implementation is Octomom. This is very similar - The Determinator p t c 00:05, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- Fair point with Octomom. As for you not caring, that is irrelevant to the discussion. I have moved the sentence to the end of the paragraph. It fits better with the mention of his fake degrees and expulsion, and doesn't sound like an attack on him.Anaverageguy (talk) 00:23, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- I just saw your message. I didn't know there was a consensus required to make changes. Like I said last time, I am not removing the sentence, only moving it.Anaverageguy (talk) 00:30, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- I placed hyperlinks to Wikipedia policies, did you read them? - The Determinator p t c 00:35, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- Yes, I read the policies you linked. Most of them were obvious except the WP:POVTITLE. So are we okay with keeping the Jahil reference, but towards the end instead of second sentence?Anaverageguy (talk) 01:00, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- Why towards the end? The titles and WP:POVTITLES are ALWAYS in the beginning of the articles as per WP:COMMONSENSE. Also, as you may have noticed that everything on Wikipedia happens through WP:Concensus. Please respect these policies. Please also follow WP:EQ. - The Determinator p t c 01:46, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- Why towards the end? Because Jahil is not exactly a WP:POVTITLE. It's not as common as octomom for Nadya Denise. It's more of an internet meme. Any word that rhymes with Aalim (his show), and is a pejorative, tends becomes his nickname. Another one of his "nicknames" is "Zalim Online". He has too many such names and they might fall under WP:HTRIVIA. Nadya is mentioned as Octomom in the mainstream media, but Liaquat is not mentioned as Jahil unless it's some kind of blog or a forum. If placed in the beggining, it feels exactly like a Peacock Term and an attack on him. I respect the policies that's why I asked you if it's okay. I don't know why you linked WP:EQ. I have been respectful all this time. Anaverageguy (talk) 02:28, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- Point well made with Zalim Online. I'll leave it as is. If you have any refs for Zalim Onilne you may add that right along with Jahil Online at the bottom. - The Determinator p t c 02:35, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
Youtube source removed
My source for Liquat's claims of innocence was removed due to WP:YT. The link was a video of the program episode itself. I suppose I can still cite it as a TV episode with no link. Would that be sufficient? Anaverageguy (talk) 01:32, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- Please see WP:RS for complete policy regarding what are and are not an acceptable references. Thanks. - The Determinator p t c 01:51, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
- I read the article and it didn't say anything about using TV Shows as a source. Of coarse, the show itself shouldn't be subject to Reliable Sources because it wasn't reporting facts. It is reporting the opinion of the anchor (Liaquat). This would qualify as Author's opinion. I am going to cite the show as a TV episode, remove the tag, and add English translation in the footnotes. Anaverageguy (talk) 21:45, 17 July 2012 (UTC)
Why My Edit Removed?
Why Islamists users of Wikipedia are removing my edits. I have the correct reference according to Wikipedia reliability details.?--Jozoisis (talk) 14:29, 18 March 2012 (UTC)
- Please don't bring religious battles here. Your edit about his degrees just repeated material already in the article. I've replaced the story of his urging people to kill Ahmadi, dropping the 'merciless' as pov and adding a bit more detail. Dougweller (talk) 19:02, 20 March 2012 (UTC)
Are my references not according to Wikipedia reference needs? If yes, then why have u removed my edit. These are the references. [1][2]
- Your references are still part of the article. The information was just compiled and organized differently. It's still there. The info is there and teh references are there too. The Determinator p t c 14:15, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
Why, Dougweller had used the word Ahmadi religion, he had not the read the article of Islamic denominations that Ahmadiyya is also sect of Islam.--Jozoisis (talk) 14:23, 25 March 2012 (UTC)
- I can't speak for Dougweller, but I don't think it's relevant. Your sources are still part of the articles, they are now placed appropriately. I'm not sure what your question is. The Determinator p t c 02:29, 26 March 2012 (UTC)
- I didn't see this, but I have removed edits that claimed that Ahmadiyya was not Islamic more times than I can remember. I'm very clear about this. Dougweller (talk) 08:39, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
'Italic text'Italic textBold text''==Ghalib Role==

Irrelevant source
The 3 February version of the article has a citation to an opinion piece [US: think piece] entitled Missing the forest for the trees. This was published on 21 September 2008 . It is provided as a citation for this statement: "In 2010 he was expelled from Muttahida Qaumi Movement." The citation is completely irrelevant. I have deleted it.-- Toddy1 (talk) 18:57, 7 February 2015 (UTC)
