Controversy

[edit]

A man was booked for calling Aditya Thakeray Baby Penguin.[1]

Adtya Thackeray denied the allegations of involved in the murder of Sushant Singh Rajput.[2] Many ministers of his party had to support him for having no connection in the murder.[3]Sanjay Raut even threatened that whoever will make allegations will need to pay a heavy price.[4][5] Narayan Rane claimed that the ex manager of Sushant Singh Rajput, Disha Salian was raped and murdered. [6] But Aditya Thakery mentioned that he will not anything which will ruin the name of Maharashtra.[7]Udhhav Thakery chaired a meeting on the case.[8] Uddhav Thakery asked for the proof for murder of Sushant Singh Rajput so he will punish the guilty.[9] Sushant Singh Rajput's family's lawyer said this statement of Chief Minister that he does not know the law.[10] — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ghost of Sushant (talkcontribs) 14:15, 5 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Ghost of Sushant, At this point, what would apply to this article just a couple of those sentences, and those are basically tabloid fluff. That's not something that belongs in Wikipedia - A accuses B, A denies. No charges on A. Right now, it's basically tabloid fluff which doesn't belong on Wikipedia. WP:NOTNEWS. @Scainder: Per Wikipedia's roster of perennial sources, The Times of India is considered to have a reliability between no consensus and generally unreliable. Accordingly, your use of this source requires consensus. Please allow other editors to respond. NedFausa (talk) 18:58, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Which sources would work?? NDTV?? Please guide Scainder (talk) 19:26, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

As far as I know, NDTV is considered a reliable source. NedFausa (talk) 19:30, 13 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Controversy

[edit]

Emotional fans of Sushant Singh got fooled by fake narratives and were set to believe that Thackeray played a role in his death. He was targeted badly by trolls on social media. This allegation over him didn't hold much weight and not an ounce of proof was found of his involvement. People claiming to have proofs against him were never able to prove anything and were initially found to be lying to get media attention and take political revenge. AnamShha (talk) 14:06, 5 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

That's irrelevant here. Your edits blatantly violate Wikipedia's neutrality policies; the article never states that the conspiracy theories are true, only that he's been included in conspiracy theories. Whether those conspiracy theories are correct or incorrect has no bearing to you blanking large sections of the article and adding non-neutral, unencyclopedic, uncited, and borderline defamatory content in place of said sections. Penguins controversy

[edit]

The section mentions that the Thackeray-led BMC project involved importing baby penguins from South Korea. Experts raised objections, and later, a penguin died. How is this even a relevant topic in the subject's political career? In the realm of Indian politics, controversies arise on a daily basis. They are so common that they can be created over a speech delivered by a politician. Most such instances happen regularly. As of now, I have removed this section as it does not play a vital part. However, I kindly request not to revert or engage in edit wars. I would also request editors to discuss here on the talk page before adding this section again.
