Prod

[edit]

@GB fan:Hi with reference to this being de-prodded can I ask for some calrification with regards to the references. As the only references I could see linked to the page were links to Twitter, Facebook and IMDB I understood that these were ok as long as thy didnt constitute the majority of the references as per Social media and WP:RS/IMDB. Would there have been a better way of raising my concerns with regards to the references all being under the above policies. Any advice welcome Amortias (T)(C) 22:04, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The rules for WP:BLPPROD can be a little confusing. A BLPPROD can not be added if there is a single source that verifies anything within the article, even if the source is not reliable. So personal websites, facebook, twitter all would qualify if they verify any of the information in the article, see the nominating section of WP:BLPPROD. Once a BLPPROD is added that meets the requirements then it takes adding a reliable source to remove it.
Those sources can not be used to establish notability, but that is a different deletion process. In this situation you can use the regular WP:PROD or WP:AFD. If you need any other clarification let me know. GB fan 22:14, 15 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
