Similarities to It's a wonderful life

[edit]

I wonder if any of the ideas of artistic influence used in the making of It's a wonderful life came from this movie. It's a wonderful life got the most attention but this film really ranks up there as well. It seems passed over by the media. It has quite a few similarities I think. First, the struggling family, the imperfect home, Christmas, the cold weather and the father who goes out in the storm to help the family in their time of crisis, the mention of 'Potter's field', the big role of children in the film, the policeman, a grandmother, a sister who does well by marrying a wealthy guy, etc. There's just so much here that you could connect to the other movie. This movie came out first so that says something. Well, just thought I'd mention this. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn is a movie well worth watching. You won't be disappointed a bit by this film. 101.51.239.78 (talk) 15:43, 23 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
