Citation of a claim

[edit]

Could anyone provide some type of support or resource citation for the claim that Strindberg thought witches were trying to kill him while he was writing this play. I have not met that claim anywhere else. (not like there are really that many good articles on the internet about 'ole Strindberg)

The information is in the source which is being repeatedly removed on the grounds that it is a dead link (http://www.tnr.com/011501/brustein011501.html). Yes, it is dead, but it is also archived, and the only source for the article. Superm401 - Talk 05:46, 10 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I have restored the witches; see Robert Brustein on Theater, The New Republic, TNR Online, January 15th, 2001. — Robert Greer (talk) 13:13, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Connection to Bergman's "Fanny & Alexander"

[edit]

Play is referenced in Bergman's film, also set in 1907. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.192.82.174 (talk) 04:19, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
