I attempted to remedy the advert issue by rewording the first few sections, and eliminating the details about APC technology. More work/information is needed to make this article "Wikipedia worthy".--Janus657 19:58, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

APC is not in Kingston, it is in West Kingston, RI. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.9.19.178 (talk)

Bring something more positive in terms of how APC developed the technology and pioneered this. I believe its in the same category as Ford's invention. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 112.204.73.197 (talk) 10:00, 2 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

APC Symmetra merge to article about company

[edit]

I don't think this needs an article of its own. A merge hee would be in order. Cheers, :) Dlohcierekim 13:13, 1 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I believe I've remedied the advert issue from when I first posted this article by rewriting and so I removed the Advert tag as it doesn't appear to be much of an advertisment anymore. Also I don't think it should be merged with American Power conversion much like the Dell Inspiron and Latitude notebooks aren't merged with the Dell article either. Marvelously long name

[edit]

Goodness, is there a Wikipedia contest underway, to be won by the corporate article with the longest name? Perhaps it's my lack of imagination, but I can't think of any other benefit in calling this one by such a long and internally redundant name as APC by Schneider Electric (American Power Conversion by Schneider Electric). Perhaps the reasons for the various recent name changes should be discussed here. Jim.henderson (talk) 01:25, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ha, no kidding. I'll suggest (from the website) moving back to American Power Conversion, and add in the details that it is owned by Schneider Electric after the title (this appears to be important branding if it is in the logo and all). Another alternative name could be APC (corporation). The style guide can be found at Wikipedia:Naming conventions (companies) if there are other potential ideas for article names. +mt 02:31, 13 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
