Added link to Murzins patent/copyright application, and text describing the key part of the design
[edit]I added description of what I think is a key part of the design of the ANS synthesizer: how a slice of light is projected through the drawings on the mastic onto the spinning discs, and further on to the photocell. The text is with minor changes taken verbatim from Murzins USSR patent/copyright application from 1957, which I added as a link. This is my first wikipedia edit so please forgive any noob errors on wikipedia formalities. Any corrections are welcome, but I sincerely think the content added is a key part of the design of the ANS. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Plengqui (talk • contribs) 07:28, 30 January 2021 (UTC)
Merger proposal
[edit]- The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section. A summary of the conclusions reached follows.
- The result of this discussion was to merge. Iliad17 (talk) 16:40, 10 December 2022 (UTC)
I am proposing that Virtual ANS, which simulates the ANS synthesizer, is merged with this page. The article in question is a stub with a small amount of useful information, but has been tagged for notability for almost a decade and it seems unlikely that it will be substantially expanded any time soon.
If you know more about ANS and think there is cause to keep the articles separate and expand Virtual ANS then please let me know, otherwise I will proceed with this. Iliad17 (talk) 19:42, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
- @Iliad17: That's a very reasonable suggestion; support merge. Klbrain (talk) 07:03, 16 November 2022 (UTC)
- Support the merge. Great idea, @Iliad17: ! Joyous! | Talk 05:15, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
