I have patrolled this page today as part of the above project. I would suggest the adding of reliable citations and expansion of the article, with the removal of any unverified or unencyclopedic information, as well as the expansion of the article. Is this organization notable?

[edit]

I found this article while screening the entries at List of UFO organizations for notability. The body of this article consists of a single sentence, there are no in-line citations, the organization itself is apparently inactive, and based upon the available source list it is impossible for me, and I assume >99% of enWiki readers, to judge if this organization is, or ever was, notable in any way. The article has been around since 2009, so there has been plenty of time for interested editors to work on it, yet...there isn't much of anything here. Does anyone have any compelling reason(s) (e.g., reliable sources in English) for why this article should not be subject to PROD or AfD here at enWiki? Thanks in advance for any responses. Good news! We have an Estonian at hand! It's me! And even better: I'm apparently already familiar with this entire topic ("apparently" because it came as a surprise to me just now). It looks like in 2012 I added that list of sources in the article, all of which are reliable sources, by the way, even if they're not English -- enWiki doesn't discriminate against non-English sources, it just prefers English ones if those are available. Also a notable organization becoming inactive doesn't suddenly turn it unnotable. That being said, apparently I thought in 2012 that "though I think it'd be best to create an article for Igor Volke and redirect this one there". The article exists now and turns out I'm the one who created it in 2015. AKRAK could maybe be merged into the Volke article. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 02:19, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I went ahead and added the merge tag and notified the Estonia WikiProject. — Jeraphine Gryphon (talk) 02:43, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
That sounds terrific. One sentence does not an article make, of course, so I'm glad there is a solution that keeps AKRAK "alive" but also complements a pre-existing page. JoJo Anthrax (talk) 13:48, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
