The article cited by this page does not describe AC927 as a sigma antagonist, but rather nonspecifically as a sigma ligand. While it demonstrated an ability to attenuate the locomotor and toxic effects of cocaine, and to reduce conditioned place preference, it was also noted to partially substitute for cocaine in discriminative stimulus tests, to enhance the discriminative stimulus of cocaine, and to reinforce a self-administration frequency in-between saline and cocaine.
