Penetration
[edit]How does the table "allow direct comparison with foreign artillery" when no one else measures by those standards? 90deg angle and 50% chance of penetration is going to result in far more optimistic numbers than you would get using the rating system used by other organizations. For example I believe the Germans measured from a 30% strike and 70% odds of penetration. So if it says "120mm at 500m" that means at least 70% of hits will result in a penetration at 500m. If only half of the shells need to penetrate to count then obviously the armor can be thinner. Idumea47b (talk) 17:53, 17 March 2024 (UTC)
