I'm afraid that this article is a long way from ready for GA status. We have a number of decent articles on Simpsons episodes; take a look at Category:FA-Class The Simpsons articles for some great articles, or Category:GA-Class The Simpsons articles for something a little more achievable. Here are some issues which warrant consideration:

  • As the cleanup notice says, the plot section is too long. Two or three, maybe four at a push, paragraphs is all you need. Cut out unwarranted details; this article is not just here to rehash what happened in the episode.
  • The lead section is far too short. The lead should serve as a summary of the article as a whole; at the moment, it includes details not found elsewhere in the prose, while ignoring the content of most of the rest of the article.
  • In some places, the writing is a little sloppy. Phrases like "getting busted" should be avoided, while the "cultural references" section just seems to be a list.
  • What makes Tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com reliable?
  • Surely, there are more sources out there? More reviews? What about DVD commentaries? At the moment, there is very little by way of reviews and the production section is sorely lacking. The production section and the reception section are probably the most important- anyone can get the plot from watching it, and the cultural references section is a little trivial. They're the sections you should be focussing on.
  • I'm sure you're aware, but the only image in the article has been nominated for deletion.

I'm afraid I am failing the article at this time, because it is a long way from ready for GA status. See if you're able to work on my comments above, particularly concerning expansion, and this article will be closer to ready. I'm available to offer advice/another read through if you want; feel free to contact me on my talk page. J Milburn (talk) 23:19, 23 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
