The name "benzo fury"
[edit]@96.227.89.130: I disagree with the use of this name, it is rarely used in literature and is more "properly" used to refer to 6-APB. It seems the few sources using this name for 5-APB are simply confused. Testem (talk) 10:36, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
- I don't see any evidence that it is the result of confusion. If the literature in the subject area is using the term for both of the analogs, which seems to be the case, Wikipedia should reflect that. Wikipedia is descriptive, not proscriptive; articles should reflect the actual use of the term, not our opinion of its "proper" use. This document from the UK government suggests that "benzofury" actually refers to a group of not just two, but four, different chemical compounds. Maybe the redirects at benzofury/benzo fury should rather be disambiguation. 96.227.89.130 (talk) 12:18, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
