Songs lyrics eerily similar to events of 9/11
[edit]Anyone else listen to the lyrics of the song carefully and draw eerie similarities between the lyrics of this song and the events of the September 11, 2001 attacks? "Sorrow in the dark day, clean sparks driving down" (the debris from the attacks falling down from the buildings), "I heard it in the wind" (the sound of the planes), "I saw it in the sky (the planes and the buildings burning), "I thought it was the end" (people thought it was the end of the world that day), "I thought it was the fourth of July" (the wave of patriotism following the incident would make one think it was the 4th of July), "everywhere, no one cares, the fire is spreading" (the fires burning in the buildings which weren't put out), "down in the hole, Jesus tries to crack a smile, beneath another shovel-load" (Ground Zero workers finding two steel beams in the shape of a cross), etc. I know the lyrics of the song were written prior to 9/11. I just thought the similarities very odd, yet interesting. --Abog 19:18, 19 February 2007 (UTC)

- ^^^ This. The same could be said for some of the lyrics to Limo Wreck, for example. Lugnuts (talk) 12:18, 24 April 2008 (UTC)
