Studio Layout

Updated the currently-used studio plan at 30 Rock. There are currently no actively used studios on the third floor pending the new Nightly News studio, newsroom, and MSNBC studios. I am an NBC employee; I think I can speak with authority on the matter. --Gdickinson 03:16, 29 June 2007 (UTC)

3K the virtual studio is on the 3rd floor.

And what about the commercial release control rooms, 2A, 2B, and 2E. Last I heard there was a plan to do weekend Nightly New out of one of these (as Full Control rooms) 96.246.71.108 (talk) 19:57, 25 August 2010 (UTC)

Revert, pics

Ok, I see the point of showing the lit GE sign, but with three exterior shots and the view from the recently opened ovservation deck now shrunk to a minute icon, the focus is a bit off now. One of the three pics should go. I'd opt for Image:07-21-2004_130_(Large).jpg, second night shot and not much additional info to the other two pics. Also the pano thumbnail should be larger (a lot). I'll wait for some feedback so this is not becoming an editwar ;-). --Dschwen 15:25, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

I'd better write this on your talk page... --Dschwen 15:32, 15 December 2005 (UTC)

GE Building

List of tallest buildings in New York City

Rockefeller Center

Hello! This is a note to let the editors of this article know that File:Rockefeller Center, December 1933.jpg will be appearing as picture of the day on June 23, 2010. You can view and edit the POTD blurb at Template:POTD/2010-06-23. If this article needs any attention or maintenance, it would be preferable if that could be done before its appearance on the Main Page so Wikipedia doesn't look bad. :) Thanks! howcheng {chat} 22:26, 21 June 2010 (UTC)

GE Building, 1933
A 1933 view of the GE Building, one of the most famous skyscrapers in New York City, as seen from the DuMont Building. At 850 feet (260 m) tall, the 70-story building is the 9th tallest building in the city and the 32nd tallest in the United States. It was completed in 1933 as part of the Rockefeller Center and was designed in the Art Deco style by a team of architects led by Raymond Hood. Known as the "RCA Building" until 1988, it is most famous for housing the headquarters of the television network NBC, and many shows are produced there, including Saturday Night Live, the NBC Nightly News and 30 Rock (the last also being a nickname of the building).Photo: Samuel H. Building name

I believe the name GE Building is incorrect. The G.E. sign still exists, but the official naming rights to the building were sold last year when Comcast purchased GE's stake in NBC.[1]

Per Tishman Speyer's website, the name of the building is now 30 Rockefeller Plaza.[2]

Can we move this page to 30 Rockefeller Plaza?

30 Rockefeller Plaza ownership not who you think...

According to the City of New York's NYCityMap database (see here) if you put in 30 Rockefeller Plaza in the Search for a location box it will show that the property is officially owned by a Turkish company called Yıldız Holding and not General Electric, NBC or Comcast. I wanted to open a discussion on the talk page first before making any changing in the InfoBox because this may be considered to be a controversial move by some Wikipedians and I want to make sure that there is an agreement and consensus first. Thank you. TheGoofyGolfer (talk) 21:48, 27 December 2014 (UTC)
