Lineage bestowal
[edit]To keep Larry Ravenstein from rolling over so fast he spins out of his coffin I have changed an IP edit that the 306th Flying Training Group received the "lineage" of the 306 SW. USAF units are temporarily bestowed honors, history, etc. on occasion but never lineage. I made an associated revert on the 306 FTG page that said the group was redesignated as the 306th wing in 1963 and another that added redundant links while reviewing the wing's designations.
- As the edit stands, it may be accurate (and I suspect it is), but "reverse" bestowal is not covered by the usual general source (Ravenstein's Combat Wings), so I've tagged it for a needed citation.--Lineagegeek (talk) 22:46, 26 September 2013 (UTC)
