Deprodding

[edit]

This chemical shows up at commonchemistry.org, springermaterials.com, and chemspider.com. Chemspider indicates about 45 related articles for the chemical. A GScholar search shows over 600 hits for the search term "3-bromobenzaldehyde" and the first two pages of hits look like articles from mostly reliable journals. WP:NOTMSDS is not a valid reason for deletion, as fixing this is a simple matter of editing, e.g., deleting the sections and adding EUClass, NFPA, or MainHazard parameters in the ChemBox. WP:NOTCATALOG doesn't really apply here as prices are not quoted, although I agree that promotion is a concern here. Given all the hits and occurrence of the chemical in more neutral databases, I think the assertion of non-notability is controversial, so I am deprodding. If there are continuing concerns, AfD is an appropriate venue. --Mark viking (talk) 22:49, 10 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]
