Lack of references

The information of the article (written by Donnie Love) is obviously retrieved by this site. Other info from this site concerning 2nd millennium BC in music is this:

1500 BC - "Hittites use guitar, lyre, trumpet, tamborine to make music"
1500 BC - "Harps used to accompany dances in Egypt"
1000 BC - "Professional musicians provide background for religous ceremonies in Israel"

(if the latter claim is true, then this "Israeli" tradition possibly had begun during the 2nd millennium BC)
I think that this site's "history of music" is useful as a general reference, but when I tried to fact-check its content, I found many errata and misspellings, and of course total lack of any references; so I suggest the editors of the articles concerning the Years in music to double-check what they find there. I will try, neverheless, to find sources that verify the claims in the main page of the article. Omnipedian (talk) 11:33, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
