Why Blooming?
[edit]Why is the Bolivian team that qualified for the first qualifying phase Blooming, which came in 6th place in the annual table with 59 points, and not Aurora, which came in 4th place with 62 points? Tonhoduarte (talk) 15:13, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
- It is because the Bolivian clubs considered that entering the Copa Sudamericana and winning only one match to earn USD 2.7 million was much better than having to traverse three two-legged preliminary rounds to get USD 3 million (plus any additional revenue per group stage win in both cases), being at serious risk of elimination in all of them on top of that. Therefore they decided that the Libertadores' Bolivia 4 berth would be the lowest international berth and the last one to be awarded through aggregate table placement. This is explained in the reference provided. CodeMars04 (talk) 15:54, 22 December 2024 (UTC)
