Road courses?
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
- Specific text to be added or removed: add a list of road courses; or indicate the track style (road course, superspeedway, tri-oval, dirt ...) in the schedule table
- Reason for the change: The format matters, and if this is meant to be a schedule, it should contain that information. As of now, there's really no indication of the formats.
- References supporting change: https://www.nascar.com/news-media/2022/09/14/nascar-unveils-2023-schedule-three-national-series/

- Hi Mikeblas not sure if you have COI related to NASCAR or not but if not, you can go ahead and add it to the page. Otherwise, I'm happy to make the change if you have suggested text I can copy into the article. Marking the request as answered for now but remove the "|A" to reopen it. - I have no conflict of interest; it's just that I have no idea where to source this information. A few sources I found seem to conflict each other, and I'm not familiar enough with NASCAR to use the right terms. (Looks like they have a couple of dirt-track races, too; and they used to call these "road course" races, but maybe they don't anymore. And would it be "format" or "track type" or something else? And ...) Meanwhile, I'll go over to {{edit request}} and see if I can make it clear that the template is for conflicts of interest. -- Mikeblas (talk) 19:52, 1 March 2023 (UTC)
Owners' championship?
[edit]Since NASCAR.com now has Owner Standings on their Cup Series Standings page, should we now include the owners' championship standings section on this article? - Areaseven (talk) 05:11, 6 March 2023 (UTC)
Note meaning
[edit]Noticed this was removed from the Note over driver's championship. I was trying to verify, but I'm not even sure what it means. Could someone clarify?
"Stage 3 Winner only for Coca-Cola 600 and Daytona 500 qualifying race, but no playoff point at Daytona"

Too much proseline
[edit]The changes section is completely proseline. WP:PL. Perhaps should be modeled after the 2022 F1 season page. Tableguy28 (talk) 15:22, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
- I agree we should modify it, but PL is an essay, not a guideline. It's not a major issue, as it's a list reported as changes occurred. The 2024 article should have less. glman (talk) 15:25, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
- I know, I'm just providing it as a guideline. EDIT: that was extremely poorly worded. Think of "guideline" not as policy but more as advice. Tableguy28 (talk) 15:30, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
- This is fair, and I agree. I may loop back around, trying to keep 2024 less messy as it evolves. Some editors have been working on these pages each year for a long time and some bad habits have continued. glman (talk) 15:41, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
