needs update on vote counts
[edit]Vote counts need to be updated with election results being announced today and also there is some polling that is missing. Also there is other missing info and some dates need to be updated as well and other issues with the page too. There are also some better source tags that need to be updated too. Pierre Poilievre Photo
[edit]Per the discussions here and here, I think it makes sense to change the photo for this article and its sub-articles as well. It is a photo from the campaign after all. I have boldly done so. Darryl Kerrigan (talk) 21:56, 23 November 2022 (UTC)
Campaign photo of PP and Wife?
[edit]Is there any encyclopedic value in using this photo in the body of the article? Just wanted to throw it out there for consideration since we have the photo. I don't have strong feelings either way. Perhaps it helps communicate something about the spirit of the campaign (ie that PP held a number of rallies or something) or perhaps it just gives the article a promotional vibe? Perhaps the fact that his signage included the wording "for Prime Minister" is notable. Anyway, what do folks think? Darryl Kerrigan (talk) 20:24, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
- I think it would be a useful addition. - Ahunt (talk) 22:44, 28 November 2022 (UTC)
Infobox
[edit]FWIIW, my understanding of the consensus reached at the time the contest took place was that we would include all verified candidates in the infobox. You will see in the archives at first we had declared candidates included, then moved to approved candidates only, and then verified as the deadlines passed. Most leadership election articles are pretty inclusive of candidates if you, including Conservative ones. I don't see any reason to change this from how it has been for the last year. If we were going to change it though, I might recommend adding Patrick Brown and noting his disqualification before the vote. If I remember correctly he was still on the ballots, and his disqualification was a big deal.--Darryl Kerrigan (talk) 05:24, 18 July 2023 (UTC)
