... that Seattle Sounders FC will play in their first CONCACAF Champions League Final this week? Source: The Seattle TimesALT1: ... that the 2022 CONCACAF Champions League Final will be the fifth to feature a Major League Soccer club? Source: The Seattle Times- Reviewed: Oasis Subdivision
- Comment: ALT0 hook would need to run before May 4 (the day of the second leg).

Overall: Article is fine, just needs QPQ. I prefer ALT0 to ALT1. If this doesn't run before the second leg, I'd suggest doing a variation on ALT0 along the lines of "Seattle Sounders FC won/lost their first CONCACAF Champions League Final last week". That said, if they do win it would be more interesting for the hook to say that they're the first MLS team to do so IMO. Legoktm (talk) 23:40, 28 April 2022 (UTC)
- Striking out both hooks now that the matches are over and I can present a new one:
- ALT2: ... that by winning the 2022 CONCACAF Champions League Final, Seattle Sounders FC became the first Major League Soccer team to win the competition? Source: The Seattle Times
- @Legoktm: QPQ has also been added. SounderBruce 20:34, 6 May 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, re-reviewing the article now. @SounderBruce: describing the Sounders as a finalist seems weird because they won the competition, typically only the losing team is a finalist. What about something like "...that by winning the 2022 CONCACAF Champions League Final, the Seattle Sounders FC became the first MLS..."? Legoktm (talk) 04:59, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
- Article looks solid, only two minor suggestions. First, in the lead, I think the paragraph about Seattle winning should be above where the two legs were. Second, the only see also link is a red link, which is discouraged - is that the correct target? Legoktm (talk) 05:09, 7 May 2022 (UTC)
- @Legoktm: Merged the paragraphs together, but I think the winner should come after the first leg's result is mentioned (similar to other two-legged cup FAs like 1981 UEFA Cup Final). Also removed the red link, which was leftover from when the article's skeleton was copied over. SounderBruce 07:32, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
- Fair enough. for ALT2. Nice work! Legoktm (talk) 20:51, 8 May 2022 (UTC)
