- Why isn't 2020–21 snooker season linked in the lead?
- It's a bit of an odd one, because it was the first event of the 2020-21 world seniors tour, which is a part of the snooker season. It being an amateur/Pro-Am event makes it difficult to place. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 11:20, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- World Seniors Tour says it was the third event of the 2019–20 season. So which one is wrong? Armbrust The Homunculus 20:45, 14 July 2022 (UTC)

- "pandemic, being broadcast" perhaps "pandemic and was broadcast" (and you might even need to say whether that was UK exclusive?)
- I don't have a source saying that it was UK exclusive. The BBC Red Button stuff is available elsewhere in the world, but only for certain content.
- Online too?
- Everything is online, so I think it's a bit moot. When we talk about "broadcasting", we do tend to mean that they have the coverage, rather than the media they use to portray that - otherwise we would say "stream" or whatever. If it was online only, that might be worth mentioning. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 11:20, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- Could add a little more in the lead as to the format of the contest.
- Added. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 11:20, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- "place in 1991" could link 1991 season?
- Linked event. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 13:47, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- "The event consists of" probably more accurate to say "The event is contested by..."
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 13:47, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- "at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield, " for non-experts, it might be nice to note that this is also the venue of the World Snooker Championship rather than some deadbeat theatre in north England just picked to give these veterans a good time.
- Agreed. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 13:47, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- "11th edition of the World Seniors Championship" overlinked.
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 13:47, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- "The event was... The event featured... " repetitive. Indeed, "event" is used ten times in that paragraph.
- "best-of-7 " etc, seven/nine.
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 14:01, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- "The event was held ..." image caption needs a full stop.
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 14:01, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- "White, defending the championship" comma after championship.
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 14:01, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Cuegloss link for break.
- "–3.[16][5] The second" ref order.
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 14:01, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- "against Hendry, however, Hendry" jarringly repetitive.
- fixed Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 14:29, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- "win 4-1." en-dash, and others, fix 'em all.
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 14:01, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- No need to link common terms like "golf".
- Considering there is a type of pool called "golf" I prefer to retain the link as it makes it very clear. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 14:01, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- "The field was made up of eight selected ranking event winners..." shouldn't this be in the overview?
- Moved Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 14:29, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Only four seeds, this needs explaining in the prose. Especially as it played out perfectly and all four seeds made it to the semifinals.
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Might be worth noting that Tabb was referee for the final in the prose.
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Why are century/50+ breaks in italics in the table?
- It's something people do to show that both players had the same amount - but it's not explained anywhere, so I've removed. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- "made during the event, Jimmy White made a 130 at the semi-final stage.[26]" made/made repeat. I would rephrase entirely, something like "Jimmy White made the only century break of the tournament with a 130 ..."
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 14:29, 3 July 2022 (UTC)
- Shouldn't ref 1 have the same publisher as ref 2?
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Same for other WPBSA sources?
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Ref 5, pp. not p.
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Check websites aren't mentioned in ref titles, e.g. refs 6, 7 etc.
- I think I got all these.
- Ref 8 publisher etc?
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Ref 9 publication date?
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Ref 12, link Sporting Life like you did with WPBSA in ref 2?
- I've removed the links instead. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Ref 14 is a bare URL.
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Ref 19 publication date.
- Ref 23, author etc, make it consistent with the other similar refs.
- I've removed the non authors instead. Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Ref 24 publisher?
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Ref 25 spaced hyphen should be en-dash.
- Done Lee Vilenski (talk • contribs) 08:06, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
That's it. The Rambling Man (Keep wearing the mask...) 17:53, 25 June 2022 (UTC)
