Parliamentary results
[edit]How the 166 seats in the National Assembly break down (125 of them at least), according to Radio France Internationale:
- PNDS 80
- Moden Fa Lumana Africa 19
- MNSD 13
- MPR Jamhuriya 13

- A more comprehensive set of results can be found here, but you can only view by administrative subdivision and not at a national level, so someone has to add up all the votes of the candidates in all the subdivisions in order to get the totals. - May be simplier to wait for the constitutional court to publish the national results. --Aréat (talk) 20:55, 3 January 2021 (UTC)
Results
[edit]Results from the Ceni are preliminary even when fully counted. Full definitive results of the first round can be found on the Constitutionnal court page, more precisely here (in the very end of the document, the preliminary ones are in the beginning). The definitive results of the legislative election haven't been published yet, but were so in previous elections. Niger has an excellent tracks of full transparency of its elections final results, contrary to some others african countries (I'm looking at you, Uganda), so I don't doubt it will be updated in a few weeks or so. And the second round of the presidential election as well, which of course is still very preliminary and only on the Ceni as of yet. Cordially.--Aréat (talk) 01:24, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
- Good stuff. Has the number of seats in the National Assembly actually reduced by five, or are there five seats outstanding? I guess the final results will make it clear if no-one knows. Number 57 12:08, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
- You're welcome. As for the reason for the lower number of seats, I added it in the Assembly result section. "In 2020, however, the registered voters list for nigeriens living outside of the country wasn't keep up to date, leading to the elections for their five seats not being held, lowering the total of seats to 166, and the majority to 84"--Aréat (talk) 15:31, 23 February 2021 (UTC)
@Number 57: Here's the definitive results for the National Assembly [1], on page 65. ;)--Aréat (talk) 12:10, 11 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Aréat: Thanks, I had seen it. I did try to do a quick job, but the pdf is locked so it can't be copied, meaning it has to be typed out. Have done it now though. Cheers, Number 57 21:04, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- You're welcome. Excuse the pinging, I wondered if you had missed the comment, as you're always eager to update those pages. Have a great day.--Aréat (talk) 21:06, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- @Aréat: Actually the ping didn't work, I just saw it because it was on my watchlist! Pings only work if you add a signature to a comment in the same edit. If you add a ping to a comment you already made, it doesn't work (no idea why). Number 57 21:07, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
- Oh, I didn't knew that. Good to learn.--Aréat (talk) 21:09, 12 March 2021 (UTC)

Map
[edit]Could someone please make a map similar to the one from 2016. Thomascampbell123 (talk) 18:08, 23 March 2021 (UTC)

Peaceful transition of power?
[edit]Can we really describe it as "transition of power", since the party in power won the election, just with another president? StjepanHR (talk) 18:25, 31 July 2023 (UTC)
