collapsible football box
[edit]@ArsenalFan700: FA Cup uses collapsible boxes because there way too many matches. Super Cup on the other hand, has only four rounds, so the better comparison would be 2016–17 UEFA Champions League knockout phase, which does not use collapsible. Thoughts? Coderzombie (talk) 08:40, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
- Hm, good point but I still side with using the format used for FA Cup. From what I see, Champions League uses it cause there are two legs while with the FA Cup (and our Super Cup), we have single elimination matches. Also not sure how rounds goes into it since 2017 FFA Cup is just one more round than the Super Cup (they have a Round of 32 first). I guess we could find out why both the Champions League and FA Cup have the formats they do. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 08:44, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
- I personally think non-collapsed looks better when it's not too crowded, plus obviously there is MOS:DONTHIDE Coderzombie (talk) 08:56, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
- I personally think the opposite honestly BUT I am okay with either. I think we should consult WP:Football to see what the overall opinion is. Also, on another topic, are we sure the map is needed? On my laptop I have my browser window extended fully and it just doesn't look good at all. Domestic cup competition pages for other countries don't use maps so not sure we should either. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 09:12, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
- Just looked through the season pages for 2017–18 FA Cup, 2017–18 Copa del Rey, 2017–18 DFB-Pokal, 2017–18 Coppa Italia, 2017 FFA Cup, 2017 Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup, and 2017 Emperor's Cup and they all use the collapsable style. Only Clausura 2018 Copa MX does what Champions League does but they also have a group stage while we don't. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 09:40, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, removing maps. I think it's a good idea consulting WP:FOOTBALL. This page will set the tone for future editions too, so let's set a good template finalized for this year that can be used for subsequent editions. Coderzombie (talk) 10:23, 13 March 2018 (UTC)

- I personally think my table section looks better and can seperate the two league. Any thoughts? User:Sidroid123 —Preceding undated comment added 11:48, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
- No it does not. It makes more sense to differentiate teams by the rounds they are entering rather than the league they are in. Also, as ArsenalFan700 mentioned, there is no point in having a map in the domestic tournament. Coderzombie (talk) 12:01, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
- Thank you! And ya, lets consult WP:Football. What should we leave it as for now? Personally I say leave it as collapsable since that is what some other domestic cups do but while asking WP:Football. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 16:45, 13 March 2018 (UTC)
Done. Coderzombie (talk) 09:27, 14 March 2018 (UTC)Ignore this. Coderzombie (talk) 09:33, 14 March 2018 (UTC)- Hey, so you want to move these to non-collapsable? I'm game for that if you are. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 16:27, 16 March 2018 (UTC)
- Sure, let's do that. Coderzombie (talk) 16:51, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

Participating Teams
[edit]Proposing a new table format for Participating Teams. Can we consider this format once the elimination round is completed? hari 10:35, 16 March 2018 (UTC)
Participating Level | I-League [note 1] |
Indian Super League [note 2] | |
---|---|---|---|
Main Competition | Direct Entry | ||
Via Qualification round | |||
Eliminated in Qualification round |
- We really don't need to make this complex. We have already mentioned the teams that are entering in qualification and in the main around. Rest of the information can be infered from the fixtures. Coderzombie (talk) 10:39, 16 March 2018 (UTC)
- Exactly! The table above isn't really needed. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 16:26, 16 March 2018 (UTC)
Question about goalscorers
[edit]Should the goalscorers for this tournament only include them for the tournament proper? I think that is what FA Cup does and I think we should too. Thoughts? --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 18:57, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, agree with you there. Unless the official website says otherwise, but they don't keep stats section any way, so we should just consider proper tournament only Coderzombie (talk) 19:04, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
- Yeah, and the goalscorers would still be available to see in the match boxes themselves so I am fine with keeping it to tournament proper. Just removed them. --ArsenalFan700 (talk) 19:12, 30 March 2018 (UTC)
